As we are a rescue group and not a shelter, our animals are in foster care. If you see any dog(s) / cat(s) you would like to express an interest in, the process is as follows:
Contact us and request an expression of interest form.
Complete the form and send it to info@halfwayhome.org.au. This does not commit you or Halfway Home to proceed with the adoption.
If suitable, we will arrange for you to meet the animal(s).
After the visit, if you are still interested in the adoption and we are satisfied that this is in the animal's best interests, we can proceed with the adoption.
Note: In some cases we need to advise when an expression of interest can't proceed. In most cases there are more than one expression of interest for each animal and there can only be one new home; and also there may be specific requirements by the applicant (eg non-shedding dog); or the special needs of the animal may mean that it is not a good match. In any case we endeavour to reply to all applications as soon as possible. We also reserve the right to refuse any application.
